Livid Death are a new band coming out of South Florida formed by ex members of Super Mutant among other notable bands. With 4 songs of scathing crust/hardcore influenced black/death metal, this is one of the best demo's I've personally heard all year and a huge sign of the potential to come. Overlooked 2014 Releases You NEED To Check Out: Part 1

With so many new albums being released in 2014 it's very easy to overlook great albums without even realizing it. To help change that, we will be closing out 2014 with a three part series (one per month) in which we'll be creating a list of 2014 releases we feel are extremely overlooked while being extremely enjoyable. Whether you feel these releases are overlooked or not is beside the point, main post of this series is for awesome releases to get checked out.
-----------

Idylls "Prayer for the Terrene"

28 minutes of absolute madness. New full length effort from Australia's own Idyslls. Only way I can honestly describe this is that if you blend Converge, Noise, Saxophone, and slamming a sledgehammer onto your chest you end up with this full length. Really no clear way I can describe the full length, other than it's well worth the listen if you like your music chaotic, noisy, and extremely well produced.

Dharma "Sea Nothing"
Second EP from Southern California outfit Dharma. Dharma brings forth a great mix of Indie/Punk which I personally love, reminds me of a more low-fi version of Interpol. Highly encouraged for those of you trying to branch outside the boundaries of listening to nothing but heavy music.

-----------

Leather "Easy"
After a sea of EPs, Philadelphia's Leather finally brought forth their debut Full Length this year and it has completely taken over my daily playlist. Noise Punk complete with aggressive vocals, guitar reverb, and recording production that doesn't sound like it was done with a Fisher Price cassette deck. What's not to love?

Cursed Grave "Western Blood"
I've been lucky enough to follow the growth of this band throughout the last year or so and all I can really say is the vast improvement in writing and performance in the past year is astonishing. As a follow up to their Self Titled EP, Western Blood features four brand new tracks that are sure to fans of Punk/Hardcore/Whatever extremely happy. "Groovy" is usually an odd term to attach to a Punk release, but you'll find yourself tapping your foot and nodding your head along to the music more than you'll even realize. The bands debut Full Length has been recorded and should be out by the start of 2015, keep an eye out for it.

The Lowest Form "Negative Ecstasy"
Another absolutely great out of the Iron Lung Records camp. After releasing a demo and an EP, Britain's own The Lowest Forms came out absolutely swinging with their debut full length. One of my favorite Punk releases of the year, 24 minutes of straight forward aggressive and noisy Punk that is a must hear. Will keep it short and sweet, LISTEN TO THIS FULL LENGTH ASAP.

Part II will drop sometime in November, keep an eye out for it. For now enjoy some new tunes.
